Private and one-to-one classes
Julie offers one to one or private sessions for small groups.
1-2-1 yoga is great for a variety of reasons including:
Beginners interested in understanding the fundamentals of yoga before attending classes
Developing a personalised home or travel practice
Deepening your regular practice
Perhaps a ropes workshop on your own or with a friend
Simply finding a time that fits into your lifestyle
Practicing with an injury
Or indeed for more serious issues (see below)
Julie Anderson, our Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher, also offers corporate classes (one-off workshops or regular classes in your workplace). A practical approach to enhance well-being, good posture, and create less stress in the work place. Contact us to discuss further.
Private and one-to-one classes with Julie Anderson
After completing 3 years of therapy training in 2007 Julie, along with a couple of other teachers, ran the Therapy Class at The Edinburgh Iyengar Yoga Centre until 2014 when she moved to Fife. BKS Iyengar was pioneering in the use of yoga as specialised help for all manner of conditions and has run a medical classes at RIMYI with great success for decades. Julie has been most fortunate to assist in these classes when in Pune, India and has gained a considerable depth of experience as a result.
Private sessions with Julie give you the opportunity to learn how to adapt your practice when dealing with milder conditions e.g. knee and back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, IBS, PCOS, etc. with a view to getting back to a general class. But also relief can be found from more serious injuries and conditions including hip replacement, scoliosis, spinal spondylolisthesis, MS, Parkinson's, cancer, lupus etc.
Private class fees
Private classes are £50 per hour, or £180 for 4 one-hour sessions with Julie. Limited concessions available.
