Yoga Home Practice - Level 1 Sequence 4

 

Yoga in uncertain times

As we will be closed for an uncertain amount of time, we are creating audio files for you to use with the practice sheets, with Julie teaching the sequence in real time.  You will be able to use these sheets and audio files when and wherever it suits you, repeat them as often as you like, or  even download them so you can use them without WiFi. 

Make sure, before you start, that you have had a look at the poses so you know what will be coming up - it will make following the teaching easier. It may also be a good idea to have the picture to hand - printed out or on screen.

Yoga sequence for Home practice

For Sequence 4 we have made two audio versions - a Gentle version and a Swift version - to allow you to practice according to your needs. 

For the Gentle version, you will need a bolster (or improvise with some cushions, or a few blocks and a blanket), and a chair. The standing poses are taught with your back against the wall for support, so if at all possible, find enough space to place your mat with the long side along the wall.  

If you find you need a little time to set yourself up between poses, or want a bit more time in the pose, you can pause  and restart the audio file easily.​

For the Swift version, take any props you would normally use for the poses on the sheet, or try practising with no or minimal props (as long as you can do so safely). You will need a chair  towards the end.  

These links open up a Dropbox File, either directly, or via Dropbox home page. There is no need to get the App or open an account : just click ' Or continue to website' or close the pop-up box that asks you to open an account, and the file will open up: click the 'play' arrow and off you go! 

 

 The audio files seem to work best when played on a phone - if using your laptop or computer you may have to plug in a speaker or adjust the volume settings.
